Mr.Medhavi movie reveiw:

Director Neelakant has come up with another novel film. H is already known for making off beat films like Show, and now this film also is the same but with a different concept.

Story

Vishvakesana (Raja) is an orphan in a village, who is a bright minded kid. a kindhearted school teacher (Bharani) takes him under his fold and teaches him good values in life along with the education. The schoolteacher also tells him that his brain is his biggest asset which can make him popular and rich.
A young girl named Shwetha(Genelia) comes to the village from Canada to see her ailing grandmother. Shwetha joins the same school in which hero Vishwak was studying for about tow months. The two soon become friends.
Shwetha on her father’s request again flies back to Canada and completes her studies. Meanwhile Vishwak is unable to forget her company and hopes that some day or the other, he would again meet Shwetha.
Vishwak grows up into a handsome guy and procures a corporate job in an MNC. The company in which Vishawak works is run by Suman. One fine day suman’s daughter returns to India from Canada and this NRI girl is Vishhwak’s childhood friend swetha.
Vishwak thinks that he is a Medhavi (Genius) as he always takes advantage of the weakness of others and uses it to his advantage and success. but in reality he is a cold and calculative person in nature. On seeing shwetha again, Vishwak loves her but is unable to express his love as shwetha happens to be his boss.
However Vishwak is shocked to learn that Shwetha loves another guy. From then, the story picks up momentum and with lots of twists and turns ends on a happy note.
What will happen’s to Vishwak’s love? Will shwetha marry her lover? For the answers to all the questions the only solution is to watch the movie on the silver screen.

Performances

Raja gave a mature performance through out the film. He is day by day developing as a full fledged actor with immense talent. His character in the film as a cunning and calculative young man is fantastic and applaudable and Raja not just acted in the film, it can be put in the other way as he lived the character.
Genelia as usual comes with a pretty character to play. She is bubbly and charming and repeats the same magic which she created in Bommarillu and Dhee.
Bharani gives his 100 percent in his brief role as a school teacher.
Suman nod Hema as Genelia’s parents are justified with their characters in the movie.
The comedy department is flavored by Dharmavarapu and Ms Narayana, as the both play as quarrelsome characters of General Manager and HR manager in the film. They churn out some laughs from the audience with their comedy track.
Ms Narayana who also is seen in the roles of Lord Krishna, Duryodhana, Naradha, and Subash Chandra Bose gets out some laughter in the theatre. Brahamanandham is also seen in the film, but with a brief character.
Music by Chakri is average and only the song “Neeli Kanula Chinna Dhana” is peppy . The locations shot in the village are excellent.

Conclusion

The main drawback is that the film runs very slowly and the rather slow and relaxed style of narration is boring at times. But usually Neelakant’s films are of this genre. The film runs mostly on the narration of Raja, who keeps on narrating his life experiences.
The film is carved in a neat format with no violence or vulgarity. But the mind games which are seen in The Corporate World may not appeal to many people as most of them are not familiar to that sort of office environment. The mass audience and the youth may not much enjoy by seeing this film as only certain section of audience will savor the film fully.
If one can ignore the slow pace of the film, then MR. Medhavi is a decent film which will stay in the theatres for five to six weeks.
